Therapists Who Take Blue Cross Blue Shield

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is one of the most common plans in Fort Bend County. Seven of our clinicians accept it for therapy.

Blue Cross Blue Shield members

Many Texans carry Blue Cross Blue Shield through an employer, the marketplace or a family member's job. Seven clinicians on our team list it on their profiles, so BCBS members can choose between psychologists, counselors and a marriage and family therapist.

Plans differ in their networks and benefits, so confirm your own coverage before the first visit.

Clinicians who take BCBS

  • Dr. Kiran Mishra, Licensed Psychologist, adults by telehealth
  • Dr. Sneha Desai, Licensed Psychologist, ages 8 and up by telehealth
  • Dr. Sunetra Martinez, teens, adults and families
  • Michelle Mitchell, LMFT, couples, families and children
  • Maggie Johnson, LPC, individuals and couples, including faith-based counseling
  • Kamau Richard, LPC-S, telehealth counseling for anxiety, grief and relationships
  • Torresy Smith, LPC, teens, young adults and adults

A good plan for couples and families

Three of the clinicians who take BCBS work with couples: Michelle Mitchell, Maggie Johnson and Kamau Richard. Michelle and Dr. Martinez also see families, and Michelle works with children as young as 4.

Some plans treat couples sessions differently from individual sessions, so ask BCBS how they handle family and couples therapy codes.
