About Torresy
Torresy Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing for the past 15 years. He has specialized in working with adolescents and young adults, and he works with senior adults as well.
Torresy has counseled high school, collegiate and professional athletes working through co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. He played sports in college and coached Division I collegiate football, so he understands the pressure athletes carry, and he helps with peak performance and the mental side of the game.
He also leads anger management work and substance use treatment, and he uses motivational interviewing to help each person engage in treatment and make changes that last. At Menninger, he helped young adults find ways to regulate emotions instead of relying on coping habits that were hurting them.
Torresy earned his Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Eastern Washington University and his Master of Arts in professional counseling from Liberty University. You will be a good fit if you enjoy great home-cooked barbecue and exercising your mind, body and spirit. Together you can identify the issues that have been keeping you stuck and work on them.

Torresy offers a free 15-minute phone consultation. He sees clients in person and by telehealth and accepts Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum and Oscar, as well as private pay. He also leads the Kicking Compulsive Habits group on Wednesday evenings.
