Work with us
Sugar Land Counseling Center was founded in 2006. We are hiring fully licensed clinicians of all kinds, including Licensed Psychologists, LPCs, LMFTs and LCSWs. We are also looking for a Psychologist or Licensed Psychological Associate with Independent Practice to conduct psychological evaluations. We offer fully flexible scheduling, administrative support, marketing, and the freedom to take as much time off as you wish.
The setting
Our private, free-standing, lakefront office building has a full kitchen, a fireplace and lounge areas for clinicians. A trail outside, with a view of the fountains, allows walk-and-talk sessions or sessions on the lawn by the lake.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic intakes and clinical assessments.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based individual, couples, or family psychotherapy.
- Maintain timely, objective, and clinically robust documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications & Requirements For Fully Licensed Clinicians:
- Active, unrestricted state license to practice independently (e.g., PsyD, PhD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPA-IP) in Texas
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, psychodynamic, or trauma-informed care).
- Strong clinical judgment, ethical boundaries, and risk assessment skills.

Our team
Our group includes psychologists, psychological associates, a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, LPCs, an LMFT and supervising LPCs, so new clinicians have colleagues to consult and refer to.

Sugar Land Counseling Center has office space available to other professionals. Call 832-876-3232 to talk about the options.
Practicum, internship and postdoctoral placements
We have accepted students from the University of Houston, the University of St. Thomas, Houston Christian University, East Texas Baptist University, and schools outside of Texas. Our supervising clinicians oversee LPC Associates.
