Therapy
Therapy for Nurses, Physicians and Healthcare Workers
You spend your shifts caring for other people. Therapy is one place where someone takes care of you, on a schedule that works around rotating hours.
What the work takes out of you
Nurses, physicians, techs, pharmacists and hospital staff carry long shifts, short staffing and life-and-death decisions. Over time that can turn into exhaustion that does not lift on days off, numbness toward patients you once cared deeply about, or dread on the drive in.
Common concerns we hear
- Burnout and compassion fatigue
- Moral distress when you cannot give the care you want
- Grief after losing patients
- Anxiety about mistakes
- Sleep problems from night shifts
- Strain at home from schedules and exhaustion
Who we see
Healthcare workers are among the many people our clinicians work with. Our team includes psychologists and counselors who understand stress, anxiety, depression and grief, and you will not need to explain why a twelve-hour shift leaves you depleted.
How therapy helps
- 1.
Name the load
Sort out what is burnout, what is grief, and what may be depression.
- 2.
Protect recovery
Practical changes to sleep, boundaries and time off.
- 3.
Work through hard moments
Space to process cases that stayed with you.
- 4.
Plan ahead
Decide what you need from your job, and what you will no longer give.

Schedules that bend
We see clients seven days a week, including evenings and weekends, and all of our therapists offer telehealth anywhere in Texas. A session can happen from your car before a shift or at home on a day off. If your rotation changes, tell your clinician and you can plan around the new schedule together.
Privacy
Your sessions are confidential within the legal limits your clinician explains at the first visit. Choosing to get support is not something your employer is told.
Finding a fit around your shifts
All of our therapists offer telehealth, with evening and weekend times across the practice. Tell us your schedule and what is weighing on you. Call or text 832-876-3232 and we will tell you which of our clinicians offer this right now, and help you choose.
Questions
I work nights. Can I still be seen?
Yes. Ask about evening and weekend times, and telehealth makes timing easier.
Is this burnout or depression?
They overlap. A therapist can help you tell the difference and suggest a medication evaluation if it would help.
What if I am in crisis after a hard shift?
Call or text 988, or call 911 if you are in danger.
Can I come in only when I need it?
Many people start weekly, then space sessions out once things feel steadier. Your clinician will talk through a rhythm that suits your schedule.
