Choosing between a psychologist and a counselor

Both psychologists and licensed professional counselors provide therapy. Psychologists hold a doctorate in psychology; counselors hold a master's degree and a counseling license. For most concerns, fit matters more than the letters after a name.

Billing if paperwork is late

Complete the insurance section of your paperwork in the client portal by 7 am on the day of your first session. If it is not complete by then, we will not know you plan to use insurance and you will be billed the full session fee.

Seeing a psychologist by telehealth

Two of the psychologists who take Cigna, Dr. Mishra and Dr. Desai, see clients by video only, which suits people across Texas who cannot easily reach Sugar Land. Dr. Nero offers both office and video sessions. Dr. Desai works with clients from age 8 in English, Hindi or Gujarati, and Dr. Mishra works with adults facing stressful events and big decisions.
