ADHD Testing for Houston Children, Teens and Adults
Houston families often hear about long waits for ADHD testing. Our evaluators in Sugar Land frequently have openings within a week, for children, teens and adults.
Why Houston families come to Sugar Land for ADHD testing
When a teacher raises attention concerns in October, a waiting list that stretches into spring means a whole school year without answers. Our testing team schedules evaluations quickly, and the drive from most of Houston is shorter than the wait elsewhere.
Who we evaluate
- Children whose teachers or pediatricians have mentioned ADHD
- Teens whose grades slipped when the work got harder
- College students who need documentation
- Adults who have struggled with focus, time and follow-through for years
What the evaluation includes
- 1.
Interview
A conversation about history, school or work, and what you see day to day.
- 2.
Rating forms
Questionnaires from parents, teachers or the adult being tested.
- 3.
Testing
Standardized measures of attention, memory and thinking, with breaks.
- 4.
Feedback and report
Results in plain language and a written report with recommendations.

Sorting out what looks like ADHD
Anxiety, sleep problems, depression, learning differences and autism can all look like attention trouble. A full evaluation looks at these too, so the recommendations fit the real reason a child or adult is struggling.

Houston ADHD testing questions
Will the report work for my child's school?
Yes. You can share the written report with the school to support a 504 plan or other accommodations.
Do you diagnose adults?
Yes. Adults are evaluated the same careful way, with attention to work and relationships.
What should we bring?
Report cards, previous evaluations, teacher comments and any questions you want answered.
Getting ready for testing day
A good night of sleep and a normal breakfast help. If your child takes medication, ask us before the appointment whether to give it that day. Bring glasses or hearing aids if they are used, plus a snack and a drink. For adults, bring notes about where focus problems show up at work and at home, and anything a partner or family member has noticed.
Expect a long appointment with breaks. Our evaluators explain each task before it starts and keep the pace comfortable.
